Rick Cooper joined the Southern Heritage team with a broad spectrum of experience.  Following his graduation from the University of Georgia in 1974 with a BS in Forest Resource Management, he served a 4 year military obligation as an Army Engineer officer stateside and all over the European theater.  Rick has spent the last 30 years in the forest management business with several Fortune 50 companies as well as privately owned forest products companies and consultants.  He has experience and expertise with land and timber purchasing, selling, and leasing includes tracts as small as 20 acres to tracts as large as 35,000 acres. Although a native of North Georgia, Rick has worked with land from the Piney Woods of South Georgia to the beautiful mountains in the north.

He is a member of REALTORS®, the REALTORS LAND INSTITUTE, Society of American Foresters, and a registered forester and real estate salesperson in the state of Georgia.  Rick enjoys outdoor sports including fishing and hunting and writes computer software as a hobby.  He and his wife, Vickie, currently live in Lawrenceville, GA.  He works out of the Gainesville office but covers much of the Northeast Georgia area in his real estate services.
