Tom Ritch Rome Office 706-767-2749 Office 706-232-3297 Fax Tom Ritch has a BSFR degree in Forest Resources from The University of Georgia and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University. Prior to joining Southern Heritage Land Company Tom was a real estate sales representative with Dempsey Auction Company. Prior to Dempsey Auction Company, Tom was employed with Temple-Inland for 20 years in their Forest Management and Wood Procurement Departments. Tom has also worked for a wood supplier for five years supplying Bowater and Temple-Inland’s paper mills and sawmills in the surrounding areas. During his forestry career as a wood supplier and forest manager, Tom has worked hard to be in compliance with both the Georgia Forestry Commission’s Best Management Practices and the Sustainable Forest Initiatives. Working in real estate has been a dream come true for Tom. Closing a land acquisition that benefits the buyer, seller and sales agent is a very rewarding experience that Tom is very proud to be a part of. Tom has also found a niche by subdividing large tracts for the landowners and conducting an auction sale through his association with Dempsey Auction Company. Subdividing into smaller tracts can possibly bring a higher per acre price for the landowner. Tom is on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Forestry Association. He is the past president of the UGA Warnell School of Forest Resources Alumni Association. Tom is also a member of the Greater Rome Board of Realtors, The Realtors Land Institutes, Georgia Association of Realtors and The National Association of Realtors. Tom is licensed in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina. Tom and his wife Ashley have three children and live in Rome, Georgia. Back to Staff |
