John now is an Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Alabama and is an Certified Appraiser and Licensed Broker in the state of Mississippi since 1980. John has had extensive training in the Mississippi Association of Realtors GRI Courses, Broker and Appraisal Courses taught by Mr. Dan Schroders, ESQ, Farm Income Approach Courses at the Appraisal Institute and Timber Appraisal Courses by The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. John’s appraiser experience includes accomplishing over 2000+- appraisals of Commercial, Farm, Residential and Income Producing Properties. Appraisals in Mississippi and Alabama for HUD, VA, USDA. And also for Court Appearances and Estate Settlements. His broker’s experiences includes millions of dollars sold in residential, commercial and farm real estate. John is the managing Broker of Southern Heritage Land Company’s Columbus, Mississippi office. He has 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. He is still a member of a small church in Cooksville, MS where his great-grandfather settled in the early 1800s. He lives on the Tenn-Tom Waterway and enjoys fishing and hunting.
