Bud Wiley Watkinsville Office » Bud Wiley » Mickey Register » Chuck Lee » Jennifer McCannon Bud Wiley has had a long and honorable career in many different industries. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1967 with a degree in Agriculture, Bud joined the U.S. Army. He served his country in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star medal for service upon his honorable discharge. For the next twenty-three years, Bud owned and operated a dairy in Oconee County, Georgia. During that time he was very active in the dairy community. He served on the board of the Atlanta Dairies Cooperative and the Georgia Milk Producers Board. Bud sold the dairy in 1995 to enter the real estate business full time. Bud earned his Associate Brokers license in 1995 and then also graduated from the Georgia Realtors Institute (GRI). Currently, Bud is a member of the Athens Board of Realtors and the Realtors Land Institute. He also serves on the Walton Electric Membership Cooperative Board of Directors and the Oglethorpe Power Board and Audit Committee. Bud attends Friendship Presbyterian Church with his family, and enjoys outdoor cooking, gardening, golf, judging 4-H and FFA dairy shows, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and most anything related to the rural outdoors. Bud is a licensed Realtor in Georgia and South Carolina. He is also an Associate Broker at Southern Heritage Land Company managing their Watkinsville office.
